What if a guest asks something weird?
If the AI isn't confident, it either collects a callback request or forwards the call to you. You'll never have a guest talking to a confused robot — we'd rather miss the edge case than fumble it.
Do I need new hardware or a POS integration?
No. Uvoca works as a phone-number forward — no hardware, no POS integration, no IT. The whole setup is 15 minutes from signup to live call.
What about GDPR and data residency?
We're EU-native. All voice and guest data is stored in EU data centers, encrypted at rest and in transit. You own the data and can export or delete it any time. We never train general models on your restaurant's data.
Can I customize the script and the voice?
Yes. You set the greeting, the tone (warm, formal, playful), the voice (we clone yours if you want), and the fallback rules. Default scripts work out of the box — customization is optional.
What happens when the AI doesn't understand an accent?
It asks politely, tries once more, and if it still can't confirm, it captures a callback request with the caller's phone number. Nothing is ever lost — worst case, a human calls back within the hour.
